Rebuilding Together
North Suburban Chicago
Share the Warmth and Friendship That Helping Others Can Bring.

What is Rebuilding Together? Low-income elderly and families with disabled members often have no place to turn when the roof begins to leak, the front steps crumble or interior home improvements need to be done. Our goal is to help preserve those homes and neighborhoods and assure a warm, safe and dry home for people in need. Homeownership stabilizes and strengthens communities.

There are over 260 Rebuilding Together affiliates helping to spread the spirit in all 50 states. Nationally, there are volunteer corps of over 275,000 volunteers donating their time and skills repairing 8,500 houses and non-profit facilities at a market value of $90 million.

The North Suburban Chapter was formally incorporated in 1996. It is an Illinois not for profit organization and is qualified as a Section 501 (C) (3) tax exempt charity. In 2005, we worked on 38 homes with over 700 volunteers. The North Suburban Chapter coverage area is north of the City of Chicago, south of the Wisconsin border, west of Lake Michigan and east of I 294 (with a few exceptions).

2008 Event is Saturday April 26th.
